The Drakhan's Lair
I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. Job 30:29
Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls. Micah: 1:8
And thorns shall come up in her palaces, nettles and brambles in the fortresses thereof: and it shall be an habitation of dragons, and a court for owls. Isaiah 34:13

And now you've found your way to the Drakhan's Lair, a place where owls and dragons drift through the night skies, their plaintive cries echoing through the stillness.
Owls and dragons love wisdom -- and they certainly pay dearly enough for it. I do what I can to gather bits and pieces of that wisdom and squirrel it away in this little courtyard. So feel free to look around.
You'll find some of my fiction, reviews of books and music I like and a few essays on subjects dear to my heart. There are also quite a few pieces of wisdom taking from other people here. Not everything is of equal value, but I'm sure each visitor will benefit in measure with his own understanding. Some people have seen more in my writing than I have.
A good deal of this site is concerned with Rosicrucianism, the western esoteric tradition and the various fellowships which have been inspired by the mythos of the Knights Templars. I get a lot of e-mail asking if I truly believe in the Templar myth. I get even more from people seeking the Illuminati.
When was the last time you found a chess club consisting entirely of grandmasters?
The honest truth: the vast majority of secret societies are at best sincerely deluded or at worst outright bogus. However, if the Illuminati did exist and I were a member, I can't think of a better place to hide. These groups would also be quite useful recruiting grounds for more advanced societies. So, if you've actually heard of the organization, it obviously can't be the true and invisible order of the Illluminati, can it? But that doesn't mean it doesn't number adepts among its membership.
As for my allegiances, I personally no longer maintain active membership in any public, visible esoteric society. I have my opinions on the trials and tribulations these public bodies are experiencing, but I prefer to remain neutral.
There are degrees beyond the twelfth.
