Walking the Path

Knights questing for the Holy Grail,
Templars on the trail of the Temple
Neophytes seeking illumination,
Extropians pushing back the void

Putting our faith in God,
trusting the laws of science
hoping prayers or progress
will offer some resolution.

Such varied paths we take
in our quest for answers
to the questions we've become.

And in the end ...
well, it never really ends, does it?
But that's the glory of the quest.

And the highest honor
is to laugh at the void and say,
We endure. We are here.
The Path is its own reward.
